The New Pylon Opal

We have been quite selective on the range offer and

have taken the Pinnacle of Opal series.

Compared to other models in the series,

the Opal 30 showcasesthe technical advantages

one gets with the the larger design.

It produces a richer, fuller midrange without losing

the overall character and musicality of the smaller

models. It offers a melodic presentation

complemented by rhythmic bass and a sonorous

treble, all well integrated into the final sound

characteristic of the speaker.The new Opal 30

features a new 18 cm PSM 18.8 CS midrange driver

with a coated cellulose diaphragm designed for

maximum sound uniformity and micro-dynamics

in the most sensitive range. A pair of 18 cm PSW

18.8 CS woofers provide an adequate base for the

rest of the band, delivering a solid dose of the

lowest registers. The upper range is handled by a 25

mm silk dome tweeter equipped with a neodymium

magnet. All drivers are housed in an 18 mm body,

including the back of the cabinet, with a thicker 22

mm front plate to reduce front wall vibration.

Additionally, a dedicated chamber separates the

midrange speaker from other drivers. For maximum

structural stiffness, reinforcements have been added

at crucial points. Standing at 1030mm tall, this

slimline ( 180 W X 360 D ) speaker should appeal to

many. 4ohm and 90dB efficiency, there will be

plenty of amplifiers that will love this.

Opal Monitor

Carefully engineered for outstanding results

The Opal Monitor features a two-way design based

on our PSW 18.8 CS/M woofer, which has been

adapted for smaller enclosures by modifying the

suspension susceptibility. Its paper diaphragm,

additionally coated, delivers selective sound with

a warm midrange. The treble is handled by a 25 mm

silk dome tweeter, allowing closer acoustic centring

due to its compact size. Both drivers are housed

in an 18 mm body, including the back of the cabinet,

with a thicker 22 mm front plate to reduce front wall

vibration. For maximum structural stiffness,

reinforcements have been added at crucial points.

These are two of the Opals arriving around

November. The first round will be in Black Ash PVC

veneer with magnetic grills. Designed to impress and punch way above its rivals.
