Sydney Audio Club

In a few weeks we present to our Sydney Audio Club friends some exotic audio products.

The Speakers this round are the big sounding small but powerful new version of the Aretai 100s Stand-mount speakers. In working out which speakers to allocate, i thought will these little guys do it in this large and unforgiving club space, we shall see? As I really like these speakers, we will do our best, it really is an awkward space or room to work with, the floating floors, the large and plentiful panes of thin glass, known room nodes, well it will be what it will be and lets works on it to me them shine on like a diamond,,,,

Amplification will be the lovely A200 from Circle Labs. There are some products that mate well and this amp and those speakers, they work. It really is a beautiful sounding combination,, and perfect for the typical room in Australia of 4 x 6.

i was thinking should i bring up a Big Fezz Olympia,, limited time to set up and limited time to pack up,, all a weeee bit to hard but we will be doing this in Melbourne and Perth next month for those interested.

Source as always will be the rock solid Innuos but which model,, well see maybe we will have a couple of their spectacular digital front end solutions, maybe a stand alone DAC to support or maybe one of the new modular option units? Let me ponder and I'll update soon. Speaker Cables will be the top of the range VIABLUE SC-6 and we might support this session with some clever footers to decouple which i am told we will need in this room,, lets see what speaker stands the Club brings in for us and what we use, The common stands seen with these speakers are the Solidsteel SS6 and SS7 which also look great?
