High End without a Hassle.
Updated: 18 hours ago
We "adjusted" one of Klapp's sound rooms yesterday to create a very simple looking, easy to use high end sound system and boy did it perform well.
The Speakers were the Avantgarde Opus 1 which have become one of the Teams most loved speaker products. Active with plenty of room adjustable features in a stunning design standing just over one meter tall.
For this customer centric focussed set up we went all German, VIABLUE cables mated up the Stunning AVM amplifier in Cellini finish ( Chrome ).
We love the sound of the cables, most just get excited about how well priced and how lovely these cables are to look at, they will pass the WAF.
The AVM integrated amplifiers all have the ability to be used as a full featured Amplifier or via the App, re-pupose as a Pre-Amplifier, perfect for those wanting to upgrade the Electronics but not yet willing to let go of the existing speakers in the home. More on this later.
The model set up in this rig is the CS-5.3
In this case this unit "CS"features as CD Player in addition to the Streaming version the AS5.3
We have parked for now the awesome power capabilities of 2×350 Watt amplification as we simply do not need it with the Opus 1.
The AVM gear now features the AVM X-STREAM Engine®: Apple AirPlay 2,
Spotify® Connect, Roon Ready, TIDAL Connect, QOBUZ Connect, UPnP, Webradio · Multiroom & Party Sync Mode ·
Bluetooth 5.0 · High-End DAC 384kHz/32bit · DSD256 · Optional Slot-In CD Drive · Phono input MM / MC
Features of the AVM we love that we know a couple of brands have but for us, it is new in our portfolio of offers.
The AVM products can be turned on buy one button on a remote and or the unit, OK this is not new but what we love is the ease at which we could program the remote or the unit by the very customer friendly app to launch at a certain pre-assigned volume or input. Great ! What is even better is setting the maximum sound levels so that it does not matter who turns on the system, the young ones or the nosey neighbour, they can not exceed a pre-set maximum volume level determined by you. For the Parents "No More Blown Speakers Folks"
There is lots more to love about the AVM App and we will get to this in greater detail with photos on the AVM pages in the next few days. Let's just say, it has been very well received. I am a remote control fan, have to have one and I like for all amps and pre-amplifiers to have a rotary volume control. It has been a must have since my very early days in this industry, some horror stories with amps and sticking sliders or simply app driven devices attached to a mobile phones volume control, horrendous ourtcomes I have witnessed even by seasoned professionals.
Using the AVM control knobs is the start of something gloriously luxurious.
They are perfectly weighted and finished in this case in a stunning chrome finish.
OK, the sound, it's first all about the sound right, no in this case it was , WOW how good does this look, first impressions count right and then it was party time.
Check out the Avantgarde Opus 1 and AVM set up in the new Klapp store in East Malvern, they are set up ready to go and wel be posting more pages on this combination and the many to consider.
The great thing about these two brands is over 70 years of combined technical knowhow, designed and built by hand and experts in their fields in Germany.
